UGC NET June 2024 Exam Schedule
The UGC NET exam schedule is crucial for candidates to plan their preparation effectively. The NTA conducts the exam in multiple shifts across various centers in India. Each session includes two papers:
- Paper 1: A general paper on teaching and research aptitude.
- Paper 2: A subject-specific paper based on the candidate’s chosen field.
Paper I: This paper assesses the teaching and research aptitude of the candidates. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 2 marks. The questions are generic and intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness.
Paper II: This paper is based on the subject selected by the candidate. It consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 2 marks. The questions are based on the subject in which the candidate has a Master’s degree.
